Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind has launched our 2017 Christmas Chocolate Fundraiser with Purdy’s Chocolatier! You can purchase your Christmas chocolate and help support Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind, providing professionally trained guide dogs to Canadians who are visually impaired since 1984. This program gives 25% of the profit back to Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind, and it’s an easy way to complete your Christmas shopping. Prices are the same as in Purdy’s stores, including some items as low as $3.75! All Purdy’s Chocolates are made FRESH in their factory and without additives or preservatives. You must order online, not in stores, to help Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind. Giving Tuesday is a national giving day. Most people know about Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Now, Giving Tuesday is a Canadian movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Cyber Monday. The “Opening day of the giving season”, it is a day when charities, companies, and individuals can join together to share commitments, rally for favourite causes, and think about others. 2017-12-01Gift Wrapping Kiosk at Place d'Orléans -

Look for Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind at Place d'Orléans this holiday season as we’ll be hosting a holiday gift wrapping kiosk. We’ll be set up in the community kiosk and be waiting to wrap your gifts in exchange for your donation. For a third consecutive year, Place d'Orléans has been kind enough to partner with us and grant us the space for this project. We’ll need volunteers to wrap gifts too. Email events@guidedogs.ca to add your name, if you would like to help this holiday season. And, be sure to stop by to have your gifts wrapped during all mall hours from December 1 – December 24.

Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind will host an Information Booth at World Exchange Plaza, 111 Albert Street, Ottawa from 10:30am-1:30pm. Stop by to check out our exclusive guide dogs and canine related merchandise, plus meet a dog or two. You can purchase our new Christmas cards, 2018 calendars, and more. Look for us near the escalator on the ground floor – towards the east entrance to the building.

Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind and Manotick Veterinary Hospital invite you to an evening of the big band sounds of the Ottawa New Horizons “Two Beats Ahead Jazz Band” on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Orchard View Wedding & Event Centre, 6346 Deermeadow Drive, Greely. Meet future guide dogs when the doors open at 7:30pm, and groove and dance to the music from 8:00pm. 100% of ticket sales benefit Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind, and the venue has been donated free of charge by Orchard View. Ticket information coming soon.
