Waterside Retirement Community in Carleton Place, Ontario will host the first “Waterside Fundraising Walk” in support of Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind. Bring your dog and join us in this fundraising walk along the Trans Canada Trail for all dog owners and dog lovers in the community. Funds raised will be directed towards the training of guide dogs. The Vancouver Chapter of the Sober Riders will host a Poker Run Charity Motorcycle Ride in support of Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind. The Sober Riders statement of purpose is to ride clean and sober, to promote clean and sober events & to help others do the same. Additional details on the Poker Run are coming soon. The ‘Guide Dog Run’ Motorcycle Ride is an all-brand event, hosted by the Ottawa River Riders. All bikers are welcome to join us in a 200-km ride through Eastern Ontario to raise funds towards the training of guide dogs. Registration is from 9:30-10:30, followed by the ride, then a barbecue and prizes after ride. Also tour the kennels of Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind and meet some of the dogs. Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind presents our annual Golf Tournament, 18-holes, plus lunch, dinner, skill competitions, and lots of prizes on Monday, September 13, 2010 at the Carleton Golf & Yacht Club in Manotick, Ontario.
