Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind will host a booth at the Fifty-Five Plus Lifestyle Show on Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the EY Centre. We’ll be promoting our Puppy Walking Program, in which volunteers raise a puppy in their home for 12-18 months, teaching basic obedience and socialization. It’s suitable to many, but perfect for individuals who are retired and remain active looking for a great way to volunteer and help their community. Look for our display at the EY Centre during the show.

This fundraiser continues at the Manotick M&M Meat Shops location only, 990 River Road. Stop in, make a purchase, and tell them you would like to support the Canadian Guide Dogs fundraiser. 2015-09-13CGDB Motorcycle Ride -

The 27th annual Guide Dog Dice Run is an all-brand motorcycle ride in support of Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind. Hosted by the Ottawa River Riders, all bikers are welcome to join us, rain or shine, to raise funds towards the training of guide dogs and assistance dogs. Registration is from 9:00-10:30. Depart once you’re signed up and begin the 200-km ride through Eastern Ontario. Check out the route here After the ride, stay for a barbecue, prizes, and a walk through our kennels to meet some dogs. There will also be an Assistance Dogs Training Demonstration. Cost is $20 per person, which is paid on-site and includes ride registration, one score card, and one BBQ ticket. Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind has been invited by the LCBO to participate in the LCBO Donation Box Program. From September 13 – October 10, 2015 you can make a donation to Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind at all cash registers in every LCBO store in Ontario. Thank you for your support.

RE/MAX metro-city Realty Ltd., Brokerage will host their 33rd annual Golf Tournament in support of Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind, at Greyhawk Golf Club, 4999 Boundary Road in Cumberland, Ontario. This is your chance to play this ClubLink course, designed by Paul Takahashi. Registration and contests begin 9:00-10:30am; shotgun start 11:00am; dinner 6:15pm. Cost is $175 per player, which includes 18-holes with cart, lunch, dinner, door prizes and lots of on-course activities.
