USED STAMP PROGRAM
Back to Home Page
Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind collects used postage stamps to raise funds
for our organization. We collect special issues, commemorative and foreign
stamps, but not everyday regular stamps.
Care to help us? Heres how:
Cut or tear the stamp from the envelope (but not too close). When you tear off
the stamps please leave at least one-quarter inch of paper around the stamp. This
protects the perforations. If these are damaged the stamp is worthless. There
is no need to include the postmark. Either drop off the stamps at our Training
Centre in Manotick, Ontario or place them in an envelope and mail them to us.
A stamp has no value if it has:
- Damaged perforations
- Been torn or creased
- A very black cancellation mark
- A ballpoint or pencil mark (done to cancel the stamp)
- Scotch tape or any other paper on stamp
Metered postage is of no value as there is no actual stamp. This also applies
to the printed stamp on airmail.
Send stamps to our address:
