Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind is a non-profit organization that relies solely on public support and funding to be able to breed, raise and train Guide Dogs. The organization does not receive any ongoing government funding, nor is it financially supported by the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.

The organization holds many different fundraising events throughout the year. These events include everything from our Go For Guide Dog Walks across the country to the "Open Houses" on the grounds of the Training Centre for the public's summertime enjoyment and interest.

These events would not occur without the efforts and support of many hard-working volunteers, participants, local businesses, and you, the public. Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind would like to extend a sincere 'Thank You' to all of you for your help and support.

Throughout the Ottawa Valley and across Canada, many stores have small collecting dogs, and larger guider dogs. These collecting dogs are there for your convenience, so you may easily drop in a donation. Email here
